I saved my .fla file, closed the tab, and it completely disappeared from my files after. Please help

I finished a small edit on the file in Animate, saved, and closed the tab. I realized I forgot something and I tried to open from "recently opened", but the program said that my file does not exist.

It disappeared from my hard drive that I'd saved it on, it was there just a few moments ago. It's not in trash, it's not anywhere on my computer, it's not in animate. I've been working on this project for over a year, it is very important to me. I don't know what to do. Please help. Is this a bug? Can I recover the file somehow? The "recover" version also disappeared.
