I want to make an application to watch video (avi,mpg,..)

Hello

I want to make an application to watch video, not precisely in the web, just an application with flash cs4 and as3, to

select a video, format avi, mpg, and the most common and then watch it.

When a I look for something just I find to watch flv, but I need other formats.

I don't known how to start, if a need some components, or it's easy to programm, I am really loose.

When I can see the formats that can I watch with flash.

Is there any comercial or not component, that embebed in a flash application allows to watch other video formats ?

If you do File > Import > Import Video you can see the formats you can use. And no, there's no component that can play other formats like AVI or WMV.

Inspiring

Flash can play only limited number of video formats. .avi is not one of those formats.
