Question

If I have my files saved on my own computer will I still be able to access them?

I’ve read that after 2027 we’ll no longer be able to access our adobe files but does this mean the ones in the cloud, or will the files I have saved on my computer no longer open up? If so, how is that even legal? I paid for the software and now they can retroactively decide to confiscate everything i’ve ever created with it?

yes, those files will be accessible regardless of what adobe does.  however, fla files will require that you have a copy of animate (or flash) to open.  you might want to resave those to xml, though there’s not much you can do with those without animate other than inspect and reuse some of the assets.

wait, so its one of those thing where the program is set to self destruct? Like it’ll stop working? What kind of bs is that? Why can’t companies realise that if you just let people use what they’ve already paid for instead of the whole “you’ll own nothing and be happy” rent only crap, that people would be willing to pay way more?   (I know you have no control over this, but could you please pass my sentiments onto anyone at adobe who’ll listen?)
