illustrating with a pen in Animate to create an animation drives me nuts!

Perhaps it's my computer (Surface Pro 3) but I draw some lines to illustrate something to animate and sometimes when I go to delete a line , I have to delete like 3 of them all in the same spot. It's taking me 3 times as long or more to do what I want.

Anyone have any experience with this and have a solution?
