import bug

Why does a 1920x1080 jpeg land half way down a 1920x1080 stage when I import it to stage? I'm pretty sure its a bug as I closed out and restarted when I encountered it earlier, and that fixed it. Now it's back again....any ideas?

    If you have a 1920x1080 stage, and you import a 1920x1080 JPG, it will be placed at 0,0, and so fit the stage. But, I do see images that are not stage size being imported not at 0,0, so I'm not sure what controls it.

    If you select it and use the align tools, does it go into the right place? Can you post an example JPEG somewhere that we could try, in case there's something about the image that is important?

    To demonstrate, I imported an image to each of three blank keyframes. In the first, the stage was at default size. The importation aligned automatically as indicated by the upper left corner. For the second I ctl- downsized the stage for full view without using the scroll bars and it also aligned automatically. But for the third I brought the stage to medium size and centered it with the scroll bars.....the alignment was way off as you can see.

    It's hard to tell what is wrong from the screenshots.

    Would you be able to put an FLA and an example external picture, in a zip file, then submit a bug report? That way Adobe can follow your instructions and hopefully get the same results.

    If you can do that, go to this page to start:

    Feature Request/Bug Report Form

    For now, can you select the image and use the Align panel, to make it be centered on the stage?
