This may seem like a trivial questions, but I will ask anyway.

I sized a group of .png images in Photoshop to 760 X 570. After importing them into Flash I find that they have changed to 569.9 X 427.4. Is there some why to tell Flash to retain the original dimensions?

I am having this same (or similar) issue and have been searching for a reason and/or solution.

I do elearning for a software program.  I take screen captures of the software program, save them as pngs, import the graphics into the flash library (at this point, selecting 'properties' for the graphic shows the correct height and width dimensions for the graphic.

I drag the graphic from the library to the stage and the height and width dimensions are 75% of what they should be.  I can type in the correct size, but of course that is a pain.   They should retain their size from the library to the stage, right?

This started happening - I think - with screen captures taken on computers with Windows Vista and Windows 7.  I do not believe this problem existed if I used a computer with Windows XP to do the graphics.

What I have to do to 'fix' this is change the graphic's "resolution" within photoshop - from 96 pixels/inch to 72 pixels/inch without resampling (sizing) the image.

As god is my witness, screen captures I took when my computer had Windows XP did not require this step - their 'resolution' was already at 72.

any idea what this is about?
