Question

imported Wave file out of sync after 1000 frames (25fps)

I'm animating two characters with voice in Animate CC.

I'm using 25fps.

Recorded the voices in Audition CC.

Edited the voices with Premiere CC (25fps)

and exported from premiere CC to a .wav file.

Imported that .wav file onto the timeline in Animate CC (25fps) and set as a stream.

The problem:

After 1000 frames you can start to see that the .wav file is going out of sync (about 2 frames).

After 2000 frames the .wav file is about 4 frames out of sync and so on....

Is there a work around?

I noticed on the forum that this is a somewhat known issue and there is a workaround for 24fps.

https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1403673

But i'm working in 25fps. Any ideas?

It's amusing to find old answers of mine!

I haven't tested lately to see if the issue is still there. If it is, I would expect the sound to be shortened by 2 25th of a second in your case. That would suggest a sample rate of 22195, or 44390 if you're working with 44k sound.

I would first try importing sounds at 16 bit, 44.1 KHz, in the hope that Adobe fixed the problems for that sample Arte.

I have tried both suggestions but still totally no difference.

I have made a test .wav file where a beep of one frame was placed at frame 1 - 100 - 200 - 300 - 400 - 1000 and 2000.

At frame 2000 you can see that the "beep" sits at frame 1996 and stays there. I have made (with audition CC) two new audio files.

1. 16 bit 44.1KHz file

2. 16 bit 44360 Hz file

I both imported them into Animate CC (25 fps - actionscript 3 - audio:stream) and without any change.

You can see both audiostreams where the last beep (that should be at frame 2000) sits at frame 1996.

Could you post a test FLA somewhere?
