Importing PSD files

Hello, I would like to know how to Import a "Update-able" Photoshop file into my animate cc composition.

I know you can use (File/ Import to stage/) and select the layers that you want, but in terms of updating information when i edit the file in Photoshop it will not update in animate cc.

(after the saved changes in Photoshop I've also tried completely restarting Animate CC)

(The desired result would be something like maya or opentoonz where you can import a psd file and edit anytime you want.)

It would be really nice if there was a work around or something that I don't know about to fix the issue.

Hi Indigojarl

I'm not a Photoshop user (anymore), for me file.psd is file.xcf, if you know what I mean.

Anyway I still remember.

I believe, saved changes in PS won't appear automatically in Animate. I just tried with an imported file.psd whether it is possible to use the Update... command in the library (context menu) like it is possible with a PNG or JPG. No, Update... is greyed out.

Everything there is to know about Animate and PSD should be in Working with Photoshop PSD files in Animate CC
