installed 2023 versions of Animate and Media Encoder cannot export video

When exporting my animation as a video I kept getting an error message that says: "the required version of Media Encoder is not installed (it was) or the installation was damaged. Please reinstall." I did reinstall ME but it didn't fix the problem. Is this a bug or am I missing something? Thank you.

Open the Media encoder first, then export the video out of animate and it should work then. That is how I currently am doing it on my Mac.

There is a Mac security thing, where one application trying to open another application might fail. Does Media Encoder open on its own? If it does, try leaving it open as you do the export from Animate.
