IOS, Android app building in CS6
Hello.
I have been making flash desktop movies/software for the last 10 years. I only recently moved to AS3 due to some projects continuing for a long time which I had started in AS2. My clients are now asking for the content I create for them to be made for tablet and phone devices. Of course this is the path I need to take to continue to be competitive.
Since the content I have been creating has been largely visual, I have never had to do any heavy coding. I am looking into what I need to learn in order to make apps for IOS/Android etc. I don’t really know where to start. I have looked at many tutorials; however they assume a fair amount of knowledge already. I feel like a complete beginner in this area.
Can anyone recommend some good tutorials? I realise I will have to get a developer program licence. I am using a PC, CS6 and have an IPhone 4 to test on.
There are a few things I can’t seem to find any information on. Can you access the IOS ‘virtual keyboard’ for instance when publishing an Air app from CS6?
I make Science based visual aids and learning software for universities’ science departments. The Apps I will be making will be animation heavy, some will require basic physics engines and some video.
Here is an example of some of the work that will need to be converted into apps:

5:08 in the video is a good example of a heavy vector based animation. Would all of this be to be converted to bitmaps (sprite sheets)?
Will investing the time to do this in Flash CS6 make sense? Or would I be better of learning HTML 5 (I would not where to start). I at least know some AS3 and I am very comfortable in the Flash environment.
I would be grateful of any advice.
Kind regards
Bill
