Is there an easier way of moving timeline forward?

Is there an easier method to moving the timeline instead of selecting and dragging all of the layers? I have a bunch of folders and layers and I'm working on my animation in different areas. For example I started working on the end of the animation, and now I'm working on something in the middle and I have to push the timeline forward now. Sometimes it messes up the timeline when I move the layers forward.
