issues with memory?

Hey guys, is anyone else experiancing memory or processing issues with the 24.0.3 version of Animate?

I'm working on a project that is much smaller than many of my former ones, and yet I'm starting to get the little grey boxes where the screen in lagging. (pic included) I know this happens when I'm doing something with a lot of big layers or anything that requires alot of processing power or memeory but I've done much bigger projects even on my last computer that wasn't as powerful as my current model. 

Could this be an issue with this version of animate? Whats happening?
