Jesus - where has 'onClipEvent(load)' gone???
Hi All,
I need to learn AS3 but this seems to be worse than expected! Simple things got damn complicated in AS3.
Please - can anybody here give me a step-by-step isntruction what should I actually do to exectute some piece of code when a movie clip is instanced? I mean - to do it just once - point.
In AS2 there was handy onClipEvent(load) but now it's gone in AS3.
OK - they say on some message groups that I need to use constructor but - damn - nobody reallly says what to do precisely. Where to put the code? On the timeline? What timeline - movieClip's timeline or stage timeline? Or should I put it in some external .as file - but where?
Any ideas for a AS3 newbee?
Please - it's urgent!
Rgs,
Ziggi
BTW - how the hell such a basic thing could become that nasty complicated??? Adobe - to whom do you address you product, so it is so hard to understand your help files???
