Lasso Tool not allowing free form shape drawing

hi! I’m trying to use the lasso tool to select part of my drawingto move around but when I draw the shape I want using the lasso tool, it immediately turns my selection into a trail of rectangles, each boxing around one part of the line I’ve selected. How can i fix this?

    Hi mate,

    For the drawing that you have already completed use Break Apart - this will make everything a raw shape and you will be able to select with Lasso tool.

    For future drawings you can switch off 'Object Drawing' and the strokes will not be created as separate objects any more.

    Experiment with Object Drawing on and off to get sense of when you need it and when not.
