Locating Recovered Files

Hello!

today I began work on an animation only to have Animate CC crash on me. I reopened the app and the animation was recovered, so I continued work for some hours, making sure to save (with Command S) but once again the application crashed. This time when I reopened Animate, I was given no option to recover the file, and it seems like it was completely erased as there was nothing in "Open Recent Item" nor a RECOVER_Untiled.fla anywhere I could find on my computer. Is it perhaps tucked away in some obscure folder within the Animate CC app folder itself? Or has the file been eviscerated? It baffles me becuase I was able to save without any issue, so I feel like the information should still be located on the computer perhaps in a cache or temporary items folder.

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your time, have a good day! !

Animate deletes the recovery file every time you save.

No, I'm not kidding.

The same thing happened to me, when I was using large videos, the external disk had filled up, and Animate didn't warn me, so when I saw that it didn't allow me to export the .swf, I tried to restart the mac. And that's when the big surprise came that there was no .fla
I only saw some folders in the trash "Recovered files, Recovered files#1".. but since they are folders, I don't know how to convert them. Very frustrating.
