Question

Making an object appear frame by frame

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to recreate a gif where the arrow appears frame by frame. Unfortunately, I have trouble with finding out how one can use this effect on the arrows. Could anyone please tell me if it is at all possible in Adobe Animate? I added the gif that I am trying to recreate in the attachments.

Thanks in advance!

Simple mask will do the trick.

Hi mate,

This is very easy.

You need to use a mask to reveal the arrow at the same time as you move the circle on a layer above.

So the structure will be as follows:

A Graphic container (Symbol) containing the circle and the arrow.

This container is used 3 times to make up the 'triangle'.

Inside you have arrow on bottom layer, which is masked and the mask is animated, either as a Shape Tween or Classic Tween.

Above the mask you have the circle which itself is a Graphic Symbol and is tweened in sync with the mask, using a Classic Tween.

The whole should ideally be wrapped into a Graphic Symbol container as well as it is always a bad idea to work on the Main timeline.
