Manually Saved A File, Adobe Animate Crashed And Lost Progress

Question

I happened to save a file I'd been working on and it finished saving. Seconds after it saved, the program crashed and opened that dumb Send Report box (which opens anytime I close the program, anyway). Opened my file again to find all the progress I'd made since I first opened this morning was gone. Which is weird because I MANUALLY SAVED anytime I made any significant changes. Anyway to reverse it?

1. you can check for an autorecovery file*:

open AutoRecoverFilenames.txt** and see if there was a saved file and, if so, check the folder location listed

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe\<animate version>\en_US\Configuration

mac:

Users/<username>/Application Support/Adobe/<animate/flash version>/en_US/Configuration/

2. learn to save frequently with changing version numbers appended so this never happens again.
