Motion tween keyframes not obeying instruction on multiple symbols - Adobe Animate.

Hi, so I'm a relative novice when it comes to Adobe Animate however, I do understand the basics with a little extra understanding.

I'm attempting to use a motion tween on various symbols that are seperated into their own layers. I have added keyframes which the symbolds follow correctly with no problem. However, a few minutes later, with no additionnal input, the keyframes are no longer followed and the symbols in the motion frame completely follow a randomised path, rotating, vanishing and scaling of their own accord.

I was told this could be a cache error, and that I should simply save the .fla file as a different name. This worked for the Adobe customer support represenative, but it did not work for myself.

I'm at a loss because, no matter what I do, the symbols on the keyframe do not follow my instructions after this issue occurs. It's happened several times now on various files - all on motion tweens involving multiple symbols.

I have reinstalled adobe animate and restarted my PC serveral times, to no avail.

Thank you for any advice you may have!

    Hi Chris,

    I suspected so.

There are lots of bugs in the implementation of layer parenting, and possibly even more in the combination of parented layers and motion tweens.

I would suggest to switch to classic tweens. This may give more predictable results.

If you want to use parenting, you may also need to duplicate the arm and hand symbols and flip the content inside.

The implementation is so bad and buggy that it can't reliably handle flipped instances.

    Good luck!

Are any of these layers, where tweens misbehave, parented?

Hi Nick, yes, most of the layers are parented. It's completely randomised whenever I open the file, for example in one instance the hand vanishes or randomly rotates. I then open the file again, suddenly the arm is doing this and the hand is fine. That's why I'm confused

Can you post a screenshot of your timeline? Want to make sure these are Motion tweens and not Classic tweens or vice versa

So as you can see based off the screenshots, one of the hands randomly flutters away from the animation path I had set. No matter what I do, it will not follow my keyframe animation path. I have went through the entire animation sequence several times to see if I have misplaced a keyframe but I can't find anything that may indicate such.

I have parented all of the symbols involved.

Thank you guys, for your comments so far!

Here are some tutorials on motion tween. Maybe this will help. If I could see whats happening I could help better.
