Multiple (two actualy) versions of animate cc possible?

In the new update, I have been infected by the bug I describe in this topic: https://community.adobe.com/t5/animate/bug-with-width-tool-line-thickness/td-p/12031317.

Now, I want to create my new projects in the latest version and my old projects I want to open in the older version to avoid the bug. Until now I have been playing around in the creative cloud to make this work, but only get the option to overwrite the current version. (I also lost all my commands and the shortcuts to these commands in that process, which is very disappointing). Any clues?

You can have as many full versions as you like. But you cannot have multiple 'point' versions.

For example you can have Flash CS6, Animate 15.2.1, Animate 19.2 and Animate 21.0.

But you cannot have Animate 21.0.3 and Animate 21.0.5 at the same time. At least not on the same computer and not as easily as having multiple full versions.

As for the commands - just back up your commands folder and keep the installers before updating.
