My program doesn't have a paintbrush tool

Question

I want to use some of the brushes in the brush library but it seems like you have to use the paint brush tool to use them, and I don't have one. I can't find anything on how to add it. All I've got is the classic and fluid brush tools.

The closest thing I've seen to a similar issue like mine was a post saying that someone had to "add it in themself" without any explanation. What can I do to get the tool?

If you click the three dots at the bottom of the toolbar, you should see a popup with any missing tools.  Drag and drop from there to customise your toolbar and add in the Paint Brush tool.
