Question

My whole project is gone, is there any way to recover it?

I opened up Adobe Animate to keep working on my project, but it wasn't in the recent page, so i clicked file, open recent, and saw the file name, but when i clicked to open it, an error came up and said "This file does not exist, and it will be removed from the list." I checked the file location, and the recycling bin, but still no sign of it. I specifically remember saving it last night too. There was no prompt asking if I wanted to open a RECOVER file of it either. I'm kind of freaking out, is there any way I can get my work back?

Hi mate,

Try Recuva to see if it will find any deleted files that can be restored:

https://www.ccleaner.com/recuva

Good luck!

Tried that and it didn't work, but thanks for helping! I think I'll be okay now.

I'm sorry for your loss, mate.

In the future, get into the habit of saving versions of your file as you go (filename_01.fla, filename_02.fla, filename_03.fla and so on...) and also backing up to an external drive regularly.

This way even if a file gets corrupted, you will only lose a small amount of work.
