[Need help] Crashed And Lost My Work

I was animating for maybe 3-4 hours tops when it suddenly popped up an "unknown" error and closed the application. I hadn't saved it yet and I couldn't before it closed itself. I open it and it's all gone except for the first frame I had previously saved from a few months ago. Does that mean I can't get my work back? Id hate to have to restart this. It still said I had opened it just a minute previously. I closed it and opened it once again but I can't get my work back! There should be an auto-save feature if there isn't like photoshop. I'm really frustrated!

open AutoRecoverFilenames.txt** and see if there was a saved file and, if so, check the folder location listed in that txt file.

    **

    win:

    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe\<animate version>\en_US\Configuration

    mac:

    Users/<username>/Application Support/Adobe/<animate/flash version>/en_US/Configuration/

p.s. start the good habit of saving your work frequently with increasing version number appended to your file name.

Did you see a box while animating that said about a recovery?

Thank you for the response! But im a little confused on how to do that. I cant seem to find where to find that I tried looking in files and pasting it and also tried in my appdata folder! I might just be trying in the wrong place I'm just to sure.
Also, thank you! I have been saving much more frequently!
