nested movie clips question
When creating and animating a nested graphic / movieclips, is there a way to see the graphics in the movie clips that are nested above? Almost like an "onion mode" but for images.

Yes and no. There's a feature called the Frame Picker and it's only available when using Graphic behavior symbols. Select the instance of your Graphic Symbol and in the Properties Panel you'll see a button labeled "Frame Picker". This will open the Frame Picker panel that will render thumbnails of every frame that is nested inside your selected symbol. You can click on a thumbnail and the Frame Picker will auto-generate a keyframe and set the instance to display that frame on the stage.
