New to Animate. Having trouble looping a movie clip on main scene

Hello, I have created a very simple scene for now.

Main stage is composed of only 1 layer with a movie clip that i created.

The movie clip is an animated circle that scales up and down.

When i insert this movie clip into the main scene timeline and hit play. The movie clip doesn't do anything.

I'm trying to create an interactive html canvas and have some hotspots that are animated continously. I thought it would be as simple as creating the animation in an movie clip and just throwing the movie clip to the main scene timeline but it does not seem to work. Any ideas? I'm new to this program.
