New User - which platform to use

Hi all,

Quick question. If I want to create a web banner for Facebook and/or LinkedIn etc.. what do I select in New Document, HTML 5, ActionScript etc.. or ? which one is best?

    html5.  (actionscript is supported by few browsers now and none in the future.)
