I have a button, made from dreamweaver. The link is for "index.html" and the text is "home"

What i want to do is this, in the source make parameters.
src="/home.swf?name=home&link=index.html"

whatever i put as home and index.html, i want the flash to show the name and link to that link!

I have googled, looked on forums, and everything, but none of them seemed to work!

I don't think I understand your question. You want to pass variables I understand, but it isn't clear where you want to pass them to or why. Maybe a better explanation will yield a better method.

Thank you for your response, let me explain.

If you look in the .fla file, the actionscript shows the acttached code. i would like that "index.html" to be replaced with whatever the variable "link" says. the word "home" i would like to be replaced with the variable "name"
