Novice starting out

Hi,

 

Belated happy new year to everybody,

I am starting out on Animate and have been following an instruction video off Y tube, i have a PNG file that i am attemping to colur in using the fluid brush, however when i use the brush it draws the line using the left click of my mouse when i release the mouse button the line i have drawn disappears.

 

If i draw a line off the side of the PNG picture the line stays there and i can see it.

 

Sorry to ask such a basic queston.

 

If anybody could answer that please would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Mark,

     

    Best would be to just create a new layer above your PNG and draw there.

    I got there in the end, I have ordred a drawing pad so hopefully that will make life easier.

    It makes a huge difference to have a drawing tablet.
