On save animate says unknown error; quiting application

Hey all,

Im having an error where on save animate says unknown error; quiting application. I've looked through other forum posts but I couldnt resolve the issue. I have reinstalled, installed in different locations, deleted preferences and installed different versions but nothing seems to work. 
Any help would be very appreciated

    I think I figured out what the problem was. I needed to save as template first then it let me save
