One or more files were not imported because there were problems reading them

The .wav file I'm trying to import isn't importing and I keep getting the error message listed in the subject line. I'm using .wav files, I'm even trying to import a file that I had just imported into the same project successfully, and it isn't working now. So it isn't the audio file. All of the other solutions I see for this issue are irrelevant and I'm very frustrated with adobe. I've restarted the machine, I've quit out and gone back in, I don't know why it's just bugging out about this.

I'm posting the one that I'm having issues with, but it's any .wav file. and I've even tried importing ones that I've previously imported successfully.

I've imported a lot in the past without issue, but all of the sudden it comes up with this error.

lol, I just updated my Mac OS and it fixed itself. weird.

open the wav file in audition and save (or resave) with compliant specs:

either 8- or 16-bit sounds at sample rates of 11, 22, or 44 kHz.

It is very important you meet the specs Klgad shared. Also, instead of importing just drag and drop it into your library.
