opening published vr animate content in browser showing white page

I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I downloaded the panorama cityscape tutorial and can view the content via the play button. However, if I publish this locally to my machine and launch the html file all I get is a blank white page. The contents all appear to be there alongside with the html file.
