That looks to be an early version that would have been based in AS1/2.  Here is a link for a tutorial from back then that shouldn't be too difficult for you to convert to AS3...

There's another easy way to make the page flip effect, you just search a pdf to flipbook converter,it will help you make that,[link removed]
