Paint Bucket tool won't fill canvas

Hi! I don't use animate but I use Macromedia Flash MX 2004. I try to fill my canvas using the paint bucket tool but it wouldn't work. Any ideas?

use the document>stage settings to set the stage color.

if you want to use the paint bucket you'll need to create an enclosed shape (eg, rectangle) and fill it.
