Question

paintbucket filling all of an imported image instead of just one sectin

I imported a screenshot from my library into adobe animate. After breaking the image apart i tried using paint bucket to fill in a certain section of the image but it filled the entire image itself. Also when i use the dropper tool it doesn’t pick up one color that I click on, but makes a fill of the entire image?

If you break an image apart it will become a shape using that image as its fill. You’d need to either trace the bitmap or convert it to vector in Illustrator or something first.

Yes, or at least they’re different colors. I took one screenshot and put it over another, then broke the two apart to create one image. I then tried to use the paintbucket tool to fill in a light section with a darker color but it colored in the whole image.     Also, when I click certain parts of the screenshot with the eyedroper, the fill color i was trying to get isn’t a single color but the whole image i clicked on for some reason?
