Paintbucket problem in Animate.

I am having trouble using the Paintbucket Tool. I have attached a screenshot showing the area I wish to fill. The screenshot shows that the desired color for the boot is selected (bearskin grey), the Paintbucket tool is selected, the layer is selected (RHA leg lwr F Clr). When I try to fill the boot area, it fills with the previoous color I have used. (i.e. the dark blue of the trousers). That is not the color I want. - I want the grey color which shows in the fill square. Does anyone have any advice about this? I find that I often have this problem. Grateful for any advice.
