Parenting prohibits conversion to keyframes

I've made a walk cycle using the Parenting tool. It will not now let me convert the tweens into individual keyframes. Is this just the way it is with parenting or is there a trick to make it convert? Thank you

    Hello,

    Converting to keyframes using Right click menu works fine at our end. Can you eloborate the issue or share a short screen recording of the same. It will help us understand the issue well.
