Pause HTML 5 Canvas animation until the user scrolls down to its location on the page

I need to know the best and easiest way to pause an Animate HTML 5 canvas animation until the user has scrolled down to its location on the web page. I've found some working solutions but they don't seem to work on all browsers. Your help is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance. 🙂
