Pentool in Animate 2021 on Windows

Hi! I am working on a project in Animate, 2021 version on a Windows computer for a class. I'm trying to use the pentool to draw, and I'm having several problems. When drawing a shape with curves and corners, it seems to be impossible to create sharp corners (change directions). I am very good with the pentool in Illustrator, but it doesn't work the same way, and I don't know what to do. If anyone could help that would be great! Thanks.

just click (instead of click and drag) in three non-linear spots and the stage with the pen tool and you'll form an acute angle:

 

ie, click and drag to form curves and click to form lines.
