please help, animate wont let me use my stylus.

I just got animate was super excited, but as soon as i open it to test it out. It wont allow me to use my pen to draw. It will draw but as if I was not calibrated.  I was super confused,  so I opened photoshop and it worked fine on there so I was lost. I can use my mouse to draw but I dont want to. I looked all over the internet found one person that has the same issue but doesnt know how to fix it. Please help me.
