Question

Please help! Child layers will not follow parent layers.

I am creating a character, but when I parent/child layers , the child layer will not foloow.  Also, when I set an anchor point, it auto resets back to the center.  This is an issue only when I start a character from scratch.  Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe you have more than one symbol per layer?

Thanks for your reply Nick.  I only have one symbol per layer.

Sorry mate! If you only have one symbol per layer I have no idea what might be causing this reset of the Transformation point.

Maybe you should try to trouble-shoot with a blank new file and a simple linear hierarchy of only 2-3 layers.

I have found that LP's UX has lots of 'dead ends' when one attempts to use it for real animation, but it's up to the individual animator to assess and decide whether they meet their requirements.

I'll just mention an alternative which may or may not be of interest - Smart Magnet Rigs.

    Good luck!
