Please help. I mastered using containers for swf to be loaded upon button clicks in AS3. Now I've moved to html5 canvas. Can anyone direct me to a tutorial, or help me with the coding for html5 canvas? I really need to get this for the educational program I'm developing. Thanks in advance!!!

Bottom line:

I want to click on a button and the file appears in the container.

what file (type) appears in what container?

and because that may not be possible, what are you actually trying to accomplish?

Thanks for responding. Let me explain. As I said, I am not a coder, however, while working with Flash CS6 AS3, I researched and found how to add external swfs in containers upon a button click.

That is what I'm trying to do with html5 canvas files in Animate. I would like to click a button, and a movie appears in the fixed container.

I made the containers (in Flash) by creating a movie and giving it the instance name of "container".

what do you mean by a "movie in "..a movie appears..."?

do you mean

a video? that's fakable.

another web page?, no easily doable.

something else?
