Hello there,

Having a problem with a site that I'm hosting on one server which needs to access php files on another.. both have access priviliges so there is no problem there.

Do the functions I use to communicate with the second server need to be 'public' I generally keep them 'private' ??

Bizaare thing is, locally I don't have a problem..

I added :-

flash.system.Security.allowDomain("blah blah");

but it does nothing

Correct answer Andrei1-bKoviI

Namespaces and scopes make difference only in AS3 code and have no effect on how swf communicates with servers. So, the issue is elsewhere.

Private functions in programming are functions that can only be accessed and called within the scope in which they are defined. They are not exposed or accessible from outside that scope.

I thought as much.. must be down to server permissions because when the php files are on the same server or when I test locally there isn't a problem

Thank you for your response

There is always another suspect - relative urls although it seems it doesn't apply to your case.
