Progress bar with Extension Builder.

We are working in extension builder doing a plugin for indesign and we have problems to show a progress bar dialogue while exporting as the whole indesing interface freezes. We are doing a set of actions and we want to show the progress, but we are unable because the main thread gets bloqued.

The extension for indesign is made with Extensión Builder, before we had it done with a script in JavaScript and was working correctly. We are exporting a set of files from indesign separated in different steps. Ideally we want to have two progress bars, one for each step and another one for the whole procress. This is very similar to what happens when you export a PDF file within indesign.

Do you have any experience with this? Any suggestions? We have tried many things but we haven't suceeded yet.

Since Adobe was not able to get extensions running under Flash CC I doubt that this forum will be much of a help for you.

At least nobody will have much expertise about how the old "extensions" developing process differs from the new one.

But I could be wrong.

I only responded to your question because this "Extension"-desaster in Flash is kind of a salty wound for me;-)
