Publish/Test single movie clip (HTML5)

Howdy Folks,

I'm building interactive applications, and would love a way to test a singular movie clip (to judge animation timing) in the browser without having to navigate to that point in the application repeatedly. I presume this would require some custom extension & publishing template, which I haven't seen in my web searches so far.

Have y'all seen or created something along those lines? If not, we'll probably venture into making an extension ourselves. Appreciate any references, tips, or insight!

Note: Talking about HTML5 here, so 'Test Scene' is not a solution for me
