Publish to apk: Are the graphics automatically put into spritesheets with texture packer?

I have just seen that adobe animate now can publish an apk to target Android.

I was using Starling a few years ago but now this.

I did some quick exports and it was like magic.

So what would be the pros and cons of using adobe animate ad not starling framework.

I noticed that the HTML5 publish packaged the vector graphics into sprite sheets with Texture packer automatically - amazing.

Is the same true when we publish an apk? I noticed that the graphics looked amazing on different mobiles with diff resolutions - I wonder if that was because they were kept as vectors.

Hi. I'm a bit stuck as there is no installer.

I downloaded the AIR 32 but it's a load of folders etc... I don't know

a - Where to put them

b - How to "point to" the AIR SDK from within adobe animate.

The AIR 33 SDK - had an installer which did everything.

    1. i have a downloads folder for all saved downloads.

    2. i have an Adobe AIR SDK subfolder of 1.

    3. whenever i download an sdk i copy the version number and create a subfolder of 2 named Version x.y.z.w where i download the zip.

    4. i extract the zip where it was saved:

when using animate, add an sdk by navigating to your download folder and clicking ok.

    for me that's Downloads\Adobe AIR SDK\Version x.y.z.w > ok.

con:  adobe animate stopped supporting air at version 32 (which was 32 bit).  you now need to use 64 bit air to publish to google store (which requires reliance on harmon.com for an updated 64 bit air).  and if you want to publish an app that plays on 64 bit and 32 bit devices, it's a pain.

So if I don't use Google playstore I will be OK?

You mention 32 bit and 64 bit - Not too sure what the difference is, I mean with regarding devices. This morning I published the apk to my crap phone and my wife's Galaxy Note 10 (why does she always get the good phone). They both worked just fine.

if you're not uploading to another app distributor and load on mobiles that support 32 bit, you're good with adobe's air 32.

in a year or so there will be mobiles that won't play 32 bit apps, Future Arm mobile CPUs will drop 32-bit support, here's what that means (androidauthority.com)
