Question

Publishing Adobe Animate

Why is this happening to me?  I made a project and saved the project to a folder.  It will not publish the project to a browser so that I can test the animation.

When you click the top right play button to publish your file, does it show a little popup instead, a '.swf' file?

If so, this might be because you're at the 'ActionScript 3.0' setting. To convert to HTML, go to File > Convert To > HTML5 Canvas. If this was your problem, once you do, you can click the same button again and see your animation play on a browser instead.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
