Question about coloring in animate cc

Im not super new to animate cc but ive always used it and have had one question.

Ive always wanted to color in a seperate layer in animate cc and I constantly see other animators color in a seperate layer using a paint bucket. I've tried and it always makes it color in the same layer as the lineart (which is what i don't want to happen) is it possible to color separately using a paint bucket in a separate layer from the lineart layer or no?

Sorry if im not making sense here..

Hi mate,

Most likely what you see is people working on a duplicate of their outlines layer.

There is no such option to use the bucket on an empty layer, but to fill in the shapes defined above it.
