I've been working on a project now for days and I just kept saving it. however, today when I was working on it I've seen it autosave and remembered to save it manually, and while it was saving my computer crashed, now the file just won't open.

A JavaScript error occurred.

Error: File 'C:\Users\HP\Creative Cloud Files\Animate\bla blah bla.fla' could not be opened.

Ok, so I thank everyone who tried to help, but I just found the file I needed in:

C:\Users\HP\AppData\Local\Adobe\Animate CC 2018\en_US\Configuration

The file doesn't have the same name, it's just some random letters, but it's dated 2 hours after the crash...weird...

weirder, I opened it, it was the one, then I tried to move it. I was told that I have to close it in order to move it, I did. now I can't find it anywhere, it's not where I wanted it to move not in recycle bin not where it was and worse when I launched Animate and went to the open recent tab, it wasn't there...

Current Animate behavior is to delete the autosave file whenever you do a manual save. This is obviously a terrible design precisely because of the chance of this sort of thing happening. Everyone please report this issue using the feature request/bug report form.

I recommend saving to google drive since it saves versions. You can just upload your work every day or work directly from the drive folder depending what your situation is.
