Saves problem

so, I have been animating for many weeks on a n animation I was making, and realized I deleted a large chunk of it while tracing. And I can't find an old save of it, how can I do this?

    how can you do what?

     

    find an old file save?  if yes, use your file browser to search.

    I'm looking for an old file save, how do I do this? just go into my file browser and search what? Do I use windows 10, should I use file explorer? And what should I search?

    search for the name you used to save the file.  if you don't know the name use the suffix (fla).

     

    if you have autosave enabled, look in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe\Animate cc <version year>\en_US\Configuration for autorecoveryfilenames.txt.  open the txt file and, if there's a file name, check for the location listed.
