iam developping an adobe air application which is transparent , an i need to send this application view when itis in execution to live on air mixer, throe the dosplay card out put

i now that "final cut" can send transparent(alpha channel) video to the display card out put so it can be viewd in live tv show as atransparent layer

but can i do that for an adobe air  application in execution

for now we use "black magic" program and send the view to aconvertor which send it to the mixer m the problem is we cant send the application view as transparent , we forced to send its view with single color  background which is desktop screen . to proccess it as chromatic , but its not perfect

what should we use to send it like transparent video that have alpha channel

the final goal is to display it on-air as a layer on top of the interviewer

Maybe you should consider a program like Open Broadcaster which can add all sorts of sources as overlays (images with transparency, videos, even DirectX/OpenGL games, etc etc) all mixed in a layer stack out to a video destination. I really have't played with video transparency with it but I'd love to know your results. They were working on the "Chroma Key" and I believe they finished it so that should be able to knock out a solid color (worst case scenario) with some feathering tolerance. It's free, can't hurt to give it a try.

Otherwise take a look at XSplit.

I purchased XSplit but honestly when I found Open Broadcaster I ditched XSplit. I hope one of them solves your issue (via chroma key). I don't think either application (OB or XSplit) is capable of handling transparent video completely, although I'd love to hear your results. I just know it can chroma key and many gamers put a green screen behind themselves and key out the background as they play with a live stream on sites like twitch.tv/justin.tv and arenajunkies.com.
