Setting DPI in Animate

After scrolling through lots of questions already asked, I didn't see my question: How do I set the DPI of a project?

I normally make web banners in photoshop. I see online, several crystal clear ads where the products and type are clear and I want the same outcome. I also need the program to create the HTML 5 file for me... I though Animate was the way to go, but I'm struggling with poor resolution. I understand that web banner ads are usually set to 72 DPI but I have a special circumstance needing a HTML file with better resolution. I was wondering if that was possible, and if so, how to do so.

Also, none of these banner ads will have animation if that helps at all to know...

Any assistance would be great. Thanks a bunch.

Unless you're working with print, DPI is a nearly meaningless concept in computer graphics, because the author has no way of knowing whether a grid of pixels will be displayed on a smartphone, or a projector, or anything in between. Stick with specifying resolution in pixels.

Copying from this blog post: Creating HTML5 Ads with Animate CC: High-DPI Compatible HTML5 Canvas Output and Author-Time Bitmap Snapping | Creative C…

Animate CC generated Canvas output is now high-DPI compliant and delivers sharper output on high resolution displays. Animate CC will intelligently scale the output based on the pixel ratio of the device on which the user views the content, ensuring fully optimized rendering on both standard and high-DPI displays.

Let me know if that answers your question.

Thanks,

While educating, it leaves me a bit confused. I recently made an animated GIF out of Animate and it was a clearer end result than a static banner. Are there any tips or tricks to have the best resolution possible for the standard web banner sizes?
